Listing and IPO

1.As a senior securities lawyer, Dr. Hao Han provides one-stop legal services from establishment, investment acquisition, project financing to capital operation for many multinational companies, listed companies, state-owned enterprises and domestic and overseas funds. In the capital market, he has provided domestic and overseas listing legal services for dozens of companies such as “99 Wuxian”, “Shanghai Construction group”, “Dazhong Transportation”, “Jinfeng Investment”, “Yantai Zhangyu Grape Brewery”, “Jiaoda Onlly”, “Pudong Road & Bridge Construction”, “Jiaoyun Co.”, “CIMIC Holdings”, “Ningbo GQY”, “Beijing Beilu Pharmaceutical”, “Hand Enterprise Solutions”, “Yanhua Smartech”, “Xinhua Media”, “Songz Co.”, “Conant Optical”, and “Batian Ecological”, among others.

Domestic litigation and arbitration

1.Represented Ningbo Import & Export Co., Ltd. in an administrative contract dispute against the Ningbo Municipal Housing Expropriation and Redevelopment Offices, securing RMB 32 million in compensation from the government. The case was recognized as one of China’s Top 10 Administrative Litigation Cases of the Year.

2.Represented Hong Kong–listed Northern New Energy Holdings Limited in a contract dispute initiated in the Ningbo courts concerning the operation and management of a local subsidiary.

3.Acted for a large group of owners in a Zhejiang mold industry complex in a mortgage guarantee dispute against China Construction Bank, winning at both trial and appellate levels.

4.Defended a domestic lighting manufacturer in a trademark infringement lawsuit brought by a U.S.-based multinational lighting corporation.

5.Represented a leading Shanghai-based real estate marketing firm in a dispute over an exclusive sales agreement with a prominent Hong Kong–listed property developer.

6.Represented a shareholder of a Fujian-based real estate company before the Supreme People’s Court in a joint development dispute involving RMB 270 million.

7.Successfully defended the actual controller of a major e-commerce company in a high-profile lawsuit brought by foreign investors, alleging prejudice to creditor interests. The case, involving several hundred million RMB, became Shanghai’s first “corporate veil piercing” case under China’s new Company Law.

8.Represented a well-known private enterprise group from Ningbo in a commercial trust dispute against Zhongrong Trust before the Shanghai High People’s Court, with claims exceeding RMB 500 million.

9.Acted on behalf of numerous individual homeowners in an arbitration case against Shanghai International Auto City over pre-sale contract disputes. The tribunal fully upheld the homeowners’ claims, declaring the pre-sale agreements invalid.

10.Represented a major domestic e-commerce company in a shareholder dispute over the transfer of shares in its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, initiating arbitration proceedings before the Shanghai International Arbitration Center.

Foreign Litigation and Arbitration

1.Represented a Canadian company in applying to the Supreme Court of Canada for an interlocutory injunction to prohibit Google from displaying certain website content in its search results worldwide. Google’s appeal was dismissed by the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Ultimately, the global de-indexing order was upheld by the Supreme Court of Canada and enforced internationally. The case became a landmark in the global recognition and enforcement of cross-border judgments.

2.Defended a Chinese investor, Mr. Yang, in a partnership dispute arising from a multimillion-dollar investment in the “Sunshine Coast Resort” project. After an unfavorable lower court ruling, the case was successfully overturned on appeal before the Court of Appeal for British Columbia.

3.Acted for a Chinese company in proceedings before the British Columbia Supreme Court to recognize and enforce a CIETAC arbitral award ordering the return of over RMB 200 million related to a coalfield development agreement.

4.Represented a publicly listed Chinese company in a high-value cross-border dispute with a major Canadian auto parts manufacturer over alleged product defects and resulting damages.

5.Represented a Chinese high-tech manufacturing enterprise and its North American affiliate in defending cross-border product liability and contract claims arising from sales on the Amazon e-commerce platform, before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

6.Represented a Chinese national in litigation against a well-known Canadian real estate developer, seeking the return of a forfeited deposit after foreign exchange restrictions in China prevented completion of the property purchase. Due to its relevance to China’s currency control policies, the case received widespread coverage in Vancouver media and drew significant attention within the Chinese-Canadian community.
